The kid has no aptitude as a mage lol.
Well you know what they say…..
If you play with fire you’ll get burnt lol
There is a saying in my home land:
"if a child asks for a razor blade after a warnig, give it to him/her"
Based on that saying in your home land, I developed my own saying:
"If a child insists on a blade after more than one warning, slash his/her throat. Stupid troglodyte."
My reaction: ...brat...🗿💢
I love how Ainsworth is preaching about compatibility, yet he has zero with them pretty much, and Chise has infinite. 16:57 Adorable <3
Not so much preaching as he is teaching them, his aptitude doesn't matter as he is a Mage in the first place :P
You missed the point. Whiff.
He's the exception where if you're powerful or unique enough you can coerce them. Unfortunately for most novices they have no idea what they're doing and will need favour if they don't want to be eaten. If you're teacher warns you that failures tend to be literally eaten by the "neighbours", take the warning to heart when interacting with them.
Yeah lol, Mattaku kono kusogaki ga!!
Bro almost turned into salamander food.
Unfortunately, some people need to learn the hard way...
Harry Potter Gryffon flashbacks...
Beatrice knows what's up. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Why should Chise me careful? LOL Can we stop framing things that way already? It's his responsibility to be faithful as a partner. And I'd say he, of all the beings, is more than a little capable to do exactly that.
It's not ppl's job to ward off fellow ppl with romantic interest. It's the job of ppl to keep making decisions FOR their relationship and put in the maintenance work. That CAN include drawing boundaries towards 3rd parties. But the whole premise that partners can be "stolen" and the abandoned person is at fault, is ridiculous! One has to own one's own decisions and be responsible to communicate and tackle relationship internal problems with the partner. And if ppl can't make it work an move on, then they've gotta own the reasons why they made that decision. And any new decision for new partners are a seperate story and a new round of accountability towards that relationship.
High time we weed out all those strange notions on ho relationship dynamics don't actually work. Cause If ppl don't get that they're accountable, then they displace blame onto partners and fail at actually maintaining anything.
Chise and Elias are learning all that stuff. Yet also, the way magic is constructed in hteir world, they must actually be really good at forming and maintaining all sorts of relationships on eye-level in order to work magic!!
That's two more reasons why ppl outside their relationship are of 0 concern, when it comes to ..... intimacy, for a lack of better word. They're not yet matured enough - emotional awareness wise - for romance. LOL
Everyone should look up "alexithymic". Elias and Chise in a nutshell right now X'D
I love how people keeps blowing a joke out of proportion and even write an essay out of it.
Welp unemployment is a modern problem lol.
I will steal them and blame you. For your inability to keep them from being stolen.
Where are the birds of the same feather that flocks together?
I thought Elias' female form was going to be someone shady when he first appeared because he didn't remember he was a teacher. It makes sense he would take on a human form for the class, he probably didn't want to scare them.
I really liked how Chise communicated with the Salamander, it was such a sweet and cute fantastical scene. Too bad that kid didn't heed Elias' advice but I hope Chise was able to calm it down back to it's adorable self again.
I also liked how Chise was so proactive trying to help Philomela, it seems like there's something big going on with Veronica so I hope Chise keeps her guard up around her but I am sure she will be dragged into whatever is going on there soon enough.
I also thought it was amusing how Chise said she'd be able to lift another person alongside Philomela, she looked cool.
I actually thought the students will make a fused over Elias' female form because he's pretty in that form.
Chise: "Lamp oil? Rope? Bombs? You want it? It's yours my friend, as long as you have enough rubies."
Chise: "Sorry, Philomela. I can't give credit. Come back when you're a little... mmmmm... richer."
i thought the chibi demonstration in Chise's head in ep1 when she's in the 'nurse's office' was even funnier. ;) i guess Elias won't be 'man-handling' Chise very often... heh! ;9 like Ruth said, that dragon's curse is slightly useful. anybody that thinks Chise looks like a frail little girl is going to get a BIG surprise! especially when Alice said 'anybody pisses you off, just punch them.' :D hehahahehah! :D i thought we were going to get a 'Chise looks INCREDIBLY nervous' reaction out of that one. like a chibi thought bubble with Chise doing 'Hulk Things'... punching through walls... splattering people in a whack-a-mole game...
That was female form??
yes did you not notice the change in VAs
This is some of the best atmosphere in anime (and film in general) ever!
Right? And I like that it's a proper fantasy and not another just another fantasy isekai. This season feels a bit like Harry Potter
well more like a proper 'urban fantasy' ... remember it is set in a 'Modern Day Earth'.
that has always been one of it's strenght probably why it's not the same is because the majority of the "fantasy creatures" and such aren't just generic made up things that got reused in pop culture media but are based in mythologies from around the world this series uses a lot of different ones from dragons and not fairies but fay (yes there is a difference) to a few others like the mention of i think djins in season 1 and yokai as well phoenixes
Hold up, what? It was 10 minutes long I swear.
Elias is looking kinda fine ngl
It was really interesting to see sorcerers practice magic. The subtle difference between magic and sorcery is quite fascinating.
I really like the music in the next episode preview for some reason
Preview spoiler:
Most people gets nervous before entering a new class/school, thats expected.
I like that tea scene that she carried around to show that she was nervous, too.
Yes she was extremely nervous, thanks for your comment Deus.
Thanks for your replied!
You are welcome Deus.
Same applies with getting a new job as well.
Wow, i almost didn't recognise Alice with the new hair cut, awww she has a wisp friend
New "Human-look" Elias, hmmmm its better than the face in S1 lol
The fire spirits/fairies are very cute
That bit at the end was concerning, secrets are being kept, experiments and dangerous ones i would say
I dont even remember who Alice was
She was the girl who dumped Chise in the lake back in the episode with the cats, and tried to get Ruth from her in the graveyard. She's Renfred's apprentice and also his "bodyguard"
Wait girl??
I dont either
i don't know if this was in the anime but we have also seen the wisp before that's why chise recognizes him it was also during the same lake incident that was mentioned in the other comment but this one came towards the end of that arc
Wasn't the wisp around when we first meet Ruth?
according to the wiki nope
Theres a wisp in ep8 "let sleeping dogs lie" at the graveyard, i think hes in 7 as well
The salamander was so cute…until it wasn’t. ^^;
Didn’t expect Elias to revert back to his usual form so fast. The students took it better than I thought they would though.
They just used to it. Comparing to Alexandra, Elias is more normal lol
Plus one of the students looked like she was into what Elias looks like.
They were raised in a magic society, I think Elias' form is not that unusual in their world.
Elias: "Whatever you do, try not to offend them"
An Idiot: Offends it anyway
Some people really doesn't know to listen, I swear.
Elias just caught an eye of another girl. Chise needs to be more careful lol
